International Student Homestay Opportunity
The Rocky Mountain International Student Program offers international high school students the opportunity to study for a half or full academic year while living with a Canadian host family. Students range between 14 to 17 years of age and go through a rigorous application process.
Two 15 year old boys, from Germany and Spain, are arriving in September. As a supplement to their school studies they are also interested in learning about fishing and archery. In addition to providing a home to an international student, host families receive $1100/ months to help cover costs of food.

Shooting Range & Campground
We operate the Rauch Homestead Shooting Range, a community facility that offers an archery range and shooting ranges, an events facility and a user-maintained campground.
Membership
The Lake Windermere District Rod & Gun Club has operated for over 100 years. We now have more than 300 members: everyone is welcome to join.
Our Location
4121 Horsethief Creek Forest Service Road
At the Radium Hot Springs roundabout, proceed west. Just before the sawmill, turn left onto Horsethief Forest Service Road. Cross the railway tracks and the river. After crossing the second bridge, remain on the main road: do not take the left turn onto a private drive at the 1.9 km point. Proceed up the hill on the main road. At the 2.8 km point, take the left fork. The Range is located at 5.5 km on the left-hand side. There is a large sign and cattleguard at the entrance plus the civic address sign.
